Pioneers inAsia mobilises teams to glorify God among unreached peoples by initiating church-planting movements in partnership with local churches.

Pioneers inAsia adheres to the core values of the international Pioneers movement. These values are at the center of our mission and can be seen in many aspects of our mobilisation process, as well as our work overseas.

The pioneering, innovative DNA of Pioneers was given to it by its founders, Ted and Peggy Fletcher. Forty years ago, the Fletchers felt the burden for the global harvest and were led by the Lord to create a missions agency that focused on sending missionaries to the unreached. Ted left his corporate job at the Wall Street Journal to build the organisation and in 1979, Pioneers sent out their first missionary from the USA. Since then, the movement has become truly global with 18 mobilisation gateways around the world which send people from over 60 nations.

In 1998, Pioneers inAsia sent our first missionary to the field.

Since then, we have been sending from different countries in Asia to diverse nations all over the world.

As of October 2019, Pioneers has 3,282 international members serving on 340 teams in over 100 countries among over 500 people groups. We are privileged that the Lord would allow us to partner with local churches to send people to some of the hardest places to reach in the world.
